Hello all A noobie question about the weapon stats and armour stats. There are lots of capital letters which i presume stand for aspects but i can't find a comprehensive list. Can anyone enlighten me to what they may be and stand for? eg chainmain armour gives 12 AC, 23 DR, 5 FR, -10 ER, -25 NP, 500 WE, 150 QU what does all this mean. I can guess at some but others??? axe gives 1-12 HD, 1-9 FT, 4 SP, 120 WE, 100 QU Now i presume that the FT is about reducing stamina but is it on the person using the weapon or the person who is hit. Thanks Drunk
I know a few of these: Chainmail: DR is Damage Resistance. Axe: HD is Health Damage, FT is FaTigue damage. (Both on the person being hit)
FR = Fire Resistance ER = Electrical Resistance NP = Negate Poison SP = Weapon's use Speed That's as much as I can help.
Someone can please anwser to me what is 'TH?' i've seen Vollinger prefer a fine revolver to a repeater gun because of it.
THAC0 = To Hit Armour Class 0 It's from DnD. In Arcanum, TH just means To Hit. It's a modifier on your chance to hit opponents.
Ah. Thank you. What is it that makes this a preferred weapon for a strength impaired character? There are other light weapons. Is it the speed or the damage? Or is it just the best balancing of stats for the weight?
Were you supposed to post that in this thread? For a minute there, I thought I'd had a stroke. In any case, I think it has a low minimum strength required (maybe it doesn't have one full stop, I'm too lazy to check), it has reasonable speed and damage and it's relatively easy to get (even without any points in pickpocketing, you can steal the firearms seller's bullets while he's sleeping, then he'll unequip the weapon and you can steal it relatively easily too). As you point out, it is also pretty lightweight and only consumes one bullet per shot unlike some firearms. All in all, it's a nice package.
*sigh* Yes, I posted to the wrong thread. Thanks for the answer, though. It satisfied my curiosity. (If any roaming admin types feel the urge to move this to the correct thread, feel free.)
