Franklin Payne is the probably the best known adventurer in all of Arcanum. You can meet him in his house in Blackroot when you are trying to get to Thanatos. He will join you and regale you with his tales of bravery.

Editor's Note - I found his AI rather annoying (at least in the press build). He would often cast summon undead and fireflash in the middle of the party making an easy battle difficult.

Raven is the daughter of the White Lady. She seems more down to earth than normal elves. She will join you after you return from Tsen And.

He is the highest tech type character in the game, maxing out firearms, highly skilled in pick locks, prowling, melee and throwing. He is also an Electric and Explosives technician.

He puts all his efforts into increasing his fighting skills (ie Strength, Dexterity, Dodge, Melee).

Waromon will join you if you make peace between the Elves and the Melokaan through dialogue rather than action (this requires high charisma and persuasion).

Waroman doesn’t appear to be able to wear armor, but unlike other followers he actually has expert status (as well as being highly skilled) in Bow and Melee. Waroman does have a tough hide and has some resistance to damage.

He has a small knowledge of fire and nature based spells. He uses entangle to good effect, stopping enemies in their tracks while taking others out from afar with his bow.

Worthless Mutt can be found in Ashbury being kicked senseless by someone who does not appreciate him stealing his food. You can rescue him in a number of ways and he will join you.

Being a dog, he does not have any real skills except dodge and melee.

Important Note - If you are wandering around Ashbury and pass near the hotel, you must save Worthless Mutt if you want him. The gnome kicking him will eventually kill him if you do not act quickly enough.

Worthless Mutt is an Apprentice at Melee.

We took a breezy excursion and gathered Jonquils from the river slopes. Sweet Marjoram grew in luxuriant profusion by the window that overlooked the Aztec city. Jaded Zombies acted quietly, but kept driving their oxen forward.
