Tarant Thieves Underground: enchanted looking glass

Hey all,

I am playing the game first time through, with a melee tech guy, and I am currently a bit stuck.

I am in Tarant, working through the Thieves Underground 'quests' and I have picked one up to get an "enchanted looking glass from Mrs Pettibone" at her house.

I know where she is, and have looked all round her house (including the locked chest) and tried picking her pocket, but can see NO SIGN OF THE LOOKING GLASS.

There don't seem to be any other posts about this on this forum and the TA quest walkthroughs don't even mention this one.

I'm playing on patch 1.0.7.0

Any help you can give would be much appreciated.

 

The glass is inside the chest. Didn't know it was that important.

 

Thanks but, as I said, I checked the chest. It's not there. Maybe this is a bug or something.

"Not that important?" No, I suppose not. It was just bugging me that I couldn't find it.

its in one of those small black safes behind her.. not a very easy steal.. wait till night
maybe you took it earlier.. not knowing it was a quest piece and threw it out?

I got the glass before I do Pettibone's quest.

Ah yes. I remember this bit. It's not specifically labelled, it is just called looking glass and looks exactly like any other, which threw me off.

 

That is why I thought it was pretty useless. :smile:

 

Hopefully the new patch fix the name and prevent any quest item from disappearing or maybe shapeshifting in your inventory. Or maybe introduce a lost and found shop where you can get back lost quest item, something like the oracle in Might and Magic.
