The work on the Arcanum High Resolution Patch is progressing nicely and a test version is mostly complete. Here are some screenshots of different resolutions:

1280x960

1680x1050

1600x1200

The Arcanum High Resolution Patch will feature:

Full support for any resolution.
All elements of the interface perfectly centered.
All elements of the interface remain their original size with no custom graphics in any resolution.
Full compatibility with any mods that are based off the 1.0.7.4 version.
Full compatibility with older save games.

The patch will be released shortly.

Finally, my 1920x1200 widescreen will actually have the proper Arcanum ratios instead of forced stretching of a crappy 800x600 across a widescreen, screwing up the aspect ratios.

This + Drog's patch could be the final pushover that gets me to finish this damn game once and for all.

No rush buddy, you do this for free/fun/bribe money/whatever, but man......I'm looking forward to this pretty hardcore.

Registered to show my respect to Drog Black Tooth. I should have done that earlier with first unofficial patch releases, but this pure extraction of awesomeness was the last drop. I wish every game had such enthusiastic person who will polish stuff for his own amusement.

Troika made incredibly good CRPG, but you made it perfect. I hope, once you finish with Arcanum you will check Baldur's Gate's modding possibilities.

Sorry, I thought about for like two seconds... I thought it was to be over a red background, but it was my first post here so WTF do I know... Since no one had the since to, I don't know, tell me to correct it, highlight it to read it if it was on a black background, re post it as a quote while making fun of me for it, or anything... other than removing it... thanks allot. BTW is it gone forever? I forgot exactly what I said, but I remember that it was very nicely put together, in my opinion.

Anyway... Drog, any details on how to personalize the resolution, e.g. some kind of menu or the use of a hex editor (I really don't know how it works, can you tell?), or do we just have to wait for the release and any idea when that's going to happen? Thank you "again" for taking the time to do it.

What's this about a Tree Bane?

The actual patch has been completed now. All interface related bugs and issues have been resolved, and everything seems to be working correctly in any resolution. I'm playtesting the game now to check if there are any content related issues. You can expect the release in a week or so.

Quin_Strabo:
The program asks you for the desired width and height, and then it patches the game accordingly. It uses formulas, so everything will be perfectly centered in any resolution.
