Will someone with administrative powers say something to him, or make me a moderator, so I can do things like delete his posts when he grave digs? :D

Given the history of this forum, it would be a hugely ironic move, and eclipse everything the House of Lords has hitherto stood for.

Need I say that I've considered it at times?

The trouble is, you tell this lie out loud and so damned often that some of us more gullible types hear it growing up and work hard to become nice men.
Well, from all the nice men in the world, Lacy, fuck you very much.

Destroy the Internet if it was the only way of keeping Matt from creating yet another account.

That makes me wonder how many accounts I have that haven't been banned... and I only want moderator status for the Arcanum sections.

Doesn't this whole thread go against the don't ask to be a mod rule though?

It would be hypocrisy on my part to complain about that though, seeing as I gained both my avvie and my godly power by asking for them.

If I ever got admin power I'm pretty sure 80% of the use of it would be editing Darkfool's posts with homoerotic literature.

I suppose I never did it over at the HoL CN forums but I was a different man then. More enthused and less dead inside.

Also: If you delete the gravedig post does not that thread stay bumped? I don't remember.

If I ever got admin or mod powers then I will destroy the double threads, lock topics, that has the potency of being gravedigged, give no warnings about piracy (that has killed Arcanum.), more tentacles, making rroyo the moderator of the Modding and Scripting and Module Discussion, etc.

Luckily, I am not or will be a mod or an admin, because I think its power will only corrupt me more. Also, I don't think I am really good at it.

Shit, just as I wanted to remove that post, someone post in this thread. (Could someone remove that post.)

PS: The above post was meant as a joke, or sarcasme (I know its a bad joke) because now everyone wants to be a mod.

I don't think you should use jokes or sarcasms if you can't understand them yourself.

Yeah, you are probaly right, because I am not in shape today with jokes and sarcasms. (I went through my back today, so I don't feel that well.)

"Going through one's own back" must be an idiom in Fryslan but I haven't the foggiest idea of what it could mean.

Yes, I am someone who still goes on with his work, even with back problem. Also, I only go to the doctor, when I feel it really necessary.

PS: I was'nt sure how you would say it in English, but I meant that I have backache. (In Dutch: Ik ben door mijn rug gegaan.)

Ah!

"to go through one's own back" - to persevere diligently at a task, especially when operating under unfavorable conditions

I believe the word we are looking for here is "lumbago". I believe the correct idiomatic phrase for it in English would be "I threw my back today" or something similar.

On a side note, I usually understand most of what Arthgon writes in Dutch. It's so close to both Swedish and English.

That could be what I meant. I have this backache all day (I have made this morning a wrong movement, while moving a fucking heavy repaired door from the workplace to someons third floor, via a lot of cramped stairs.) Oh well, lives goes on.

PS: Dark Elf, you are absoluty right, that's the word that I was looking for, thanks.

PSP: So, the right sentance would be 'I threw my back today.' ? Thanks for helping me out with sort of things. Also, is it difficult to learn to speak, read, write Swedish?

Perhaps other English-speakers can back me up on this, but one doesn't often hear the phrase "I threw my back" without the accompanying preposition "out."

In this case, "Arthgon threw his back out whilst carrying a heavy door up a cramped staircase."

Originally, I thought Arthgon had simply left a word out of his statement: "I went through my back (surgery) today..."

Here in the States the usual phrase is "I threw out my back" or "I threw my back out of (whack, joint, order, etc.)" but I have heard "I threw my back" used by a few people - mostly younger ones, now that I think about it.

rroyo's "I threw out my back" is correct; it is inexcusable to end a phrase with a preposition!

With what manner of feeble young people do you associate?
