It is really quite interesting to see how advanced artificial intelligence is so far. The Pandora Bots group has yearly competitions of the best bot of the year judging the bot on it's impressiveness, intelligence, and knowledge. The 2002 winner is the LaurenBot. It not only has fairly intelligent conversation, but it also has an audio feature with which it tries to sound out it's own answer, as well as the normal text output. Another famous bot is the ALICE bot. There are links on the names to the the talk centers for the bots, if you want to try them out. One thing you could try is seeing how well the LaurenBot sounds out names when you tell it your name. Tell me your comments/what you think of current bots and how AI will progress and soforth.
