What's a good way to get into D&D? Can anyone suggest something to get me started on the basics? Also, what tould be a good module to get started on?

make some friends that already play dnd. the dungeon master's guide usually has a module ready to go, but its most fun to make up your own stuff. although basing that in forgotten realms/some other world supplement is always helpul/fun...

other than that, just buy the three v3.5 books and read up on the rules and buy some dice and find some friends to screw around with it with...

(hmmmm "with it with" i like that)

i play DnD and there are three core rulebooks.
    Dungeon Master's Guide (important)
    Player's Handbook(required)
    Monster Manual(optional)
youre probably best to buy a starter pack and slowly introduce new rules from the advanced version and eventually make the proper switch. if youre going to be DM u might want to research monsters, rules etc so u dont have to look them up. i dont know what this module stuff is though. also a party of at least 4 is highly recommended.
always have a rogue too, for those challenging doors
